Greetings to everyone! Here at Blue Jinni Media, we are pleased to offer original entertainment from many genres including Fantasy Fiction, Drama, Horror, Documentaries, Cookbooks, Short Stories, Audio Books, Plays, and Podcasts! Plans for the near future include Children’s Books, Self-Help, Science Fiction, and Short Courses for the new authors out there!
My name is Dedra L. Stevenson, an acclaimed author, and an award-winning filmmaker, and I’ve teamed up with my cousin, Rodney W. Harper, an acclaimed video game producer, writer, biologist, and historian, to provide you with our own brand of entertainment, Blue Jinni Media.
This is our brand new blog, and we are planning to offer great tidbits about writing, creativity, book production and video production. We’re also planning a number of guest blog posts from media professionals and artists from many creative backgrounds. I think you’re going to love this banquet of content that’s coming at you very soon, and I’d like to welcome you to interact with us and let us know what you’d like to see more of.
We strongly believe in encouraging creative minds to pursue their dreams of seeing their words in print, their ideas on screen, and their advice offered to the world, and we’re here to help.
What have we done so far? Well, it all started with my first book, The Revenge of the Blue Jinni, a fantasy fiction tale about a young woman who’s born with a great responsibility, to grow into the champion of humanity in the inevitable war with the Jinn (beings of the other dimension) for the domination of the planet.
Phoenix Kassim, the protagonist, has since become a great role model for young girls from many nations. Using her special powers, powers that are passed on through the women of her family, she learns to become a leader of people and friendly Jinn forces to keep the order in the world, as the Blue Jinni’s forces slowly mobilize. These malevolent beings believe that humans are no longer worthy of this world, and aim to obliterate them.
When I first started this book, I was completely on my own, and I managed to get a first edition published, but it fell short of professional standards. That’s why I was so lucky to team up with Rodney, who had the technical knowledge to bring my vision for The Hakima’s Tale trilogy to life. Now, these books and all my others (Desert Magnolia, The Skinwalker Resurrection, and Breaking Bread Around the World) are state of the art, comparable with anything produced by a major publishing house.
There have been many projects since then, and you can read further on our website to familiarize yourself with our other offerings.
Also, don’t forget to follow us on social media! We love making new friends, and we love talking about our books, films, and podcasts. We also love helping you with yours!
